FLOWERS FROM THE FOURTH KINGDOM

Animal, vegetable, mineral — now plastic, the Fourth Kingdom of the material world.

Petroleum-derived, manufactured, purchased and delivered through a complex supply chain, these plastic flowers exemplify nature disrupted. Rendered as spectral phantoms in a color drained nether-world, they are in perpetual stasis, negating the cycles of nature. Presented in an herbarium format, they become an archive of shadowy, off-gassing replicants devouring natural resources. The plastic specimens we record will remain long after us as momento mori of the Plastic Age.

22 x 28 inches, archival pigment prints, 2022-2026. Edition of 8.

ARCHEOLOGY OF THE FOURTH KINGDOM

Hypothetical fossils represent the stratum of our current archeological record—evidence of the century-long material culture of the Plastic Age as seen from thousands of year in the future.

Unique multi media collages: 16 x 20 inches, pressed plastic flowers on board, powdered graphite, 2026

THE SCENT OF AN
EXTINCT FLOWER

Take a card, spritz with the atomizer, imagine the scent of an extinct flower. We offer an olfactory experience of the scentlessness and senselessness of extinction.

Atomizer with 2.5 x 3 inch cards, 2026

Flag: 3ft x 5 ft, printed polyester, 2026
